Spring is in the air. The birds. The bees. You know the drill, and if you don’t, I would suggest submitting a few questions to the Paddock Pointers crew. Unfortunately, we won’t be focusing on a young, budding relationship in this week’s “WAG of the Week,” but we will be exploring the love life of a Frenchman. What could be more romantic than springtime in Paris?
If you don’t know by now, I’m talking about Romain Grosjean. Romain is a 30-year-old driver for the Hass F1 team. Let me first address the elephant in the room. How could a red blooded, thoroughbred American Formula One team hire a French driver? Well, the simple answer is that there are not enough talented American drivers out there. At least not yet. Grosjean is a capable driver, however, and has shown the tendency to pull off smooth moves both on and off that track. That must explain how he wooed Marion Jollès, a 35-year-old French journalist and television presenter.
We don’t know all that much about the relationship between Grosjean and Jollès, and what we do know is quite basic. The couple first began dating in 2008 and married on June 27th 2012. They had their first child on July 29th, 2013 and a second on May 16th, 2015. The two boys were named Sacha and Simon respectively. So, when you step off your flight in Charles de Gaulle Airport think about stopping by Romain and Marion’s place. The lovebirds seemed to have figured it out. Try not to share a cab from the airport, however even if it is “so damn ex-pen-sieve.”
