  • Joke of the week…McLaren are optimistic of being more competitive this weekend with Honda planning to race their upgraded engine at the Austrian GP.
  • Denmark is looking at joining the F1 calendar in 2020 and businessman Lars Seier Christensen met with Liberty Media in what he described as a “very positive meeting”.
  • Sounds like Vettel isn’t thrilled by the prospect of Alonso as a teammate. “I’m not responsible for signing the drivers but if l had a say l would prefer Kimi.”
  • Carlos Sainz says it is “unlikely” he will continue to drive for Toro Rosso in 2018 – but how likely is it that he will achieve his goal of landing a seat at Red Bull next season?
